Projects: nuSun battery pack video
The solar car team got a company local to where I live to build the Lithium-ion pack for us. Since it only takes me 15 minutes, 10 if I speed, to drive there, I went over to film the construction of the pack. I will not go into great detail about the construction of the pack. I titled the project video because this is the first time I made a video myself. Before, I worked with high school friends to film videos for assignments. This video differs from the previous ones because the video was digitally edited, and I did not have project partners. I used some of Adobe Premiere to edit the video, but most of the time, I used MGI Videowave because it is easier. However, when I say easier, I do not mean that the video took me a short time. The entire video took about two weeks to film, and more than fifty hours to edit. One reason for the long editing time is that my computer specifications are not very good. The majority of the editing was done on a 733MHz Pentium III with a very basic video card and 256MB RAM. I used my 1GHz laptop for some of the editing, but it does not have enough harddrive space to do too much. The final video is 8 minutes and 45 seconds long, and in MPEGII format at 640x480 resolution, it takes about 400MB of space. If I film anything else in the future, I want to edit the video with Premiere, since Videowave does not have too many features. I included a picture of the final battery pack, but I cannot upload the entire video here.
